^^ What he said basically. Once you get used to sitting low there's no real advantage of sitting higher, you end up looking further ahead and just (as said above) make points to aim for and turn at, instead of watching what your driving on. In the FO8 i have lowered it enough so that you cant turn your head 180 deg and see behind you because you'll just see the car, which definently is more realistic
I also liked this feature, i used to use it a lot when doing rally X in the RB4, changing down to 2nd or 1st for a hairpin, and then releasing it slightly early and get the back end out. I can understand that its better for the racing cars now, but i would still like to use this feature with the road cars .... isn't it possible to have it as an option ?
I was just saying i dont like wide tracks, and dont see a point in them. Tracks like Sepang are 25m wide, an F1 car is only a tiny bit over 3m and you could fit 6 cars side by side with a metre gap in between! Fern Bay is quite narrow (14m), but i wouldn't see any poing making it wider than 16m or 17m.
Wide tracks dont make better racing, because there's still 1 main racing line. I dont like the new wide tracks in F1, they just seem pointless. I remember Hockenheim before it was ruined, the huge straights out into the woods at 210+ mph, on a thin track, made it look crazy fast, but people still overtook
Yes there are tyres such as the ones at the chicanes on FE that should be kept, but there are pointless ones ... this has already been said ... just look at the pics, there are more but i dont need to show all of them, and this is just Fern Bay, Westfield also has quite a few. These are corners that arent exactly possible to cut, so is there a need for the tyres
The third picture, this is on a straight, but often people run wide from the chicane and bring the tyres onto the track ...
Do we still need all the free standing tyres on the tracks? Some of them are useful such as on the FE chicane, but the straight and sweeping corners after that (FE black and gold) dont really need tyres, there's no way of cutting the corners successfuly, and then when someone spins and hits the tyres, the tyres end up on the track and cause more accidents.
In some of the slower cars you can normally get out of the way. But with any high speed car, especially the BF1 the tyre barriers dont help ...
"Gear shift levers no longer hold the clutch" Is this completly removed .. I liked this feature, it was nice being able to shift to 1st, rev it up, and let go of the stick
